Paradise Malahide Hotel is a mid range hotel located in Kigufi in Gisenyi town just on the shores of Lake Kivu. The hotel surroundings borrow an ideal climate from Lake Kivu, the hills and mountains in the area. The area receives a perfect amount of sunshine which is good for sun bathing and relaxation at this hotel.
The hotel is composed of 12 Bungalow rooms where 10 are constructed by the Lake Kivu (6 bungalows and 4 apartments in a larger two story bungalow) and the other 2 are constructed up the Hill.
It is an amazing facility with grass thatched bungalows. The construction is traditional with traditional furniture made from wood, volcanic rock and kitenge fabric which reflects its natural beauty. There are plants everywhere and all the tables and seating over look the lake. The staff is exceptional and rooms are very nice and clean which cannot make you regret staying at this property. Every morning as you wake up, you will be enchanted by the songs of the fishermen and birds.
The facility operates on full board where the chefs offer the Rwandese flavor, African and international dishes. Try the commonly preferred food by most clients which is grilled tilapia and the fried sambasa!
There are many tourism activities which can be done around the hotel like visiting the hot spring which is 5 minutes away from the hotel, you can also visit Akeza island, cultural experiences from the traditional dance troupe, the stunning Lake Kivu provides the perfect setting for fishing, swimming and boat cruises which are just on site. A traditional dance troupe performs for the hotel guests on weekends or by special request. The Intore dance performances are highlighted by unique drumming sounds, a cultural mesmerizing experience, stunning costumes and rare African choreography.
