Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kigali City
Our safari driving guide will pick you up at 4:30 am and take you to the park to begin your one-day Rwandan gorilla trekking adventure. The Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, Musanze province, which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, is two hours’ drive away. In addition to enjoying a cup of coffee at one of the nearby local restaurants, you may snap eye-catching photos at the various stops along the way. We travel to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi Village at precisely 7:30 am, where a ranger will brief you on the guidelines for gorilla tracking before you depart for the jungle.
The hike could take an hour or six hours, depending on how the gorillas move. But since you have a flight that day, we will recommend a strenuous but ultimately rewarding family-friendly nearby trip. You will return to the head park headquarters and drive back to the airport for your departure after spending an hour with the gorilla to take as many pictures as you wish. You will stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants on the route.
