You will go to the beginning and enter the Bwindi forest in groups of eight, accompanied by a ranger guide who will help you search for gorillas. Finding the gorillas requires a trip through the lush jungle that can take anywhere from two to six hours, depending on their movements, past whereabouts, and feeding range. You encounter numerous birds and other primates, including olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, on the same journey.

Once you’ve found the gorillas, you’ll spend an hour with them photographing and learning about their habits, which are similar to those of people. Among other things, you’ll get to see the babies playing together. As long as your torch is off, you can snap photos.
