8 Days Adventure Experience in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Gorilla Adventure Tours safari guide who will then take you to the hotel already booked for you for check in.

Accommodation: Protea Hotel, Boma Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Gulu Town

You will be picked from your hotel after your breakfast ready to start your tour to the most isolated national park in Uganda and you will drive through the plain and remote vegetation to northern parts of the country, with a stopover for lunch in Gulu, before proceeding to Kitgum for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kidepo National Park

After your morning breakfast, you will drive to Kidepo Valley National Park and arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive where you will have a chance to spot a number of animals including; lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants and many more. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning and Afternoon Game Drives

Today, you will spend both morning and afternoon doing game drives in the savannah plains of Kidepo valley National Park. This park hosts a great variety of animal species in comparison to any other Ugandan Parks. Of the Eighty species recorded in 1971, Twenty eight weren’t known to exist in any other park within Uganda. Among the other big ungulates are: elephants, oribi, burchell’s zebras, Jackson’s hartebeests, bush pigs, bohor reed buck, warthogs, rothschild giraffes, defassa water bucks, cape buffaloes, elands, bush duskiers and bush bucks . Five primate species   are found within the park of which the most endemic is the Kavirondo bush baby. Carnivores existing include lions, side-striped jackals, leopards, black-backed jackals, various small cats as well as spotted hyenas.

Day 5: Karimojong Cultural Visit

After morning breakfast, you will visit the homes of the Karimojong, interact with the elders and get to know more about the lifestyle, culture and behaviors of the onetime pastoral group or choose to do more game drives on the day. Have Dinner and overnight Kidepo at Savannah Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Start your day with breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park, located in the in the North-West of Uganda in Masindi District at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley which is the largest and oldest National Park in Uganda. The Park sites on an area of about 4000 square kilometers, Murchison Falls Conservation Area are bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant valley wall, creating the dramatic falls. You will reach in late evening and transfer to the lodge for Dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon Boat cruise.

Begin your day with a cup of coffee, and your driver guide will pick you up for a morning game drive where you will have an opportunity to spot several antelopes, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, buffaloes, and if luck, big cats such as leopards and lions and then return to the lodge for lunch.

In afternoon, you will enjoy the boat cruise to the base of the falls. On your way from the jetty point to the bottom of the falls, you will spot several herds of buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, water bird species and other wild animals as they flock River Nile to drink water. Continue upstream to the base of the falls to observe how water squeezes in a narrow gorge of 7 meters, later on drive back to lodge.

Day 8: Departure to Kampala via Ziwa Rhino Tracking

Have a relaxed breakfast and prepare for your journey to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Tracking rhinos will take about one to two hours, depending on the location of the rhinos and is done on foot, unlike other typical game drives. The tracking activity necessitates one to have closed shoes, long pants, water, and insect repellent and among other activities with the Sanctuary includes bird watching where you spot Shoebill, Canoe Ride, Night Walk, Nature Walk and among other activities. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe.
