5 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early morning breakfast, a Gorilla Adventure Tours safari guide will take you on a half day drive to Fort Portal and further to Kibale National Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains. A stopover in Fort Portal for lunch at Gardens Restaurant, thereafter drive at your leisure to Kibale with an afternoon crater walk of Nyinambuga.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have an early morning breakfast ready for a chimpanzee walk in the jungles of Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth for a sunset two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular and amazing bird life.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

An early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Proceed to Bwindi impenetrable Forest via Ishasha southern part of Queen Elizabeth for an outstanding game safari to spot the tree climbing lions and other rare wildlife with lunch in Ishasha. Continue to your lodge for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi in Impenetrable National Park

Today is dedicated for gorilla trekking in the jungles of Bwindi. Ready for briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and rangers tacked in your trekking jungle boots, rain jacket with your walking sticks. Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to determine how long it will take you, this can take a heavy hike. The gorilla tracking excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Time permitting after your Gorilla trek in the afternoon you will head for a community foot safari to discover and explore the local community, understanding their ways of life, receive some cultural performances.

Day 5: Return to Kampala – Departure.

Start off your day with breakfast ready for a long drive back to Kampala with a stopover at your choice of local hotel for your lunch enroute and at the Equator crossing line in Masaka for photography before returning to Kampala or Entebbe Airport arriving very late in the evening.
